Material Science at work:
Our non-adhesive nipple covers rely on the intrinsic properties of medical-grade silicone
When exposed to physiological skin temperature (approximately 36–37 °C), the polymer chains within silicone exhibit increased flexibility. This thermal response allows the covers to:
1. Conform to skin microtopography – softening enhances the material’s ability to match the microscopic peaks and valleys of the epidermis.
2. Generate micro-suction – as the silicone surface settles against the skin, interfacial air is displaced, producing localized negative pressure zones.
3. Enable weak intermolecular interactions – van der Waals forces act over the increased surface area, strengthening non-adhesive adhesion.
Because this adhesion mechanism is reversible and non-chemical, the covers can be repositioned or reused without degradation in performance. The result is a secure, residue-free attachment system driven purely by thermomechanical properties and surface physics.

So, I decided to solve the fashion problem I was facing almost every week — and share that solution with others experiencing the same thing.
